6 Ways to Build Your Self-Confidence: Part 2

Welcome back to part 2 of How to Build Your Self-Confidence. In part 1, I shared the importance of building self-confidence by defining what confidence really means, as well as we took a look at some qualities of  highly confident people.     • if you can’t imagine yourself successfully performing an action, it will hard to build confidence
      see yourself, successfully, performing the task
  3. Use positive affirmations
    • affirm who you are and your ability to be successful
    • use positive affirmations both internally and verbally
  4. Use positive body language
    • practice standing a certain way
    • your posture is important to getting more confidence
    • holding your head up high; chin up
    • hand gestures
  5. Be intentional in what you wear
    • Choose clothes that makes you feel good about yourself and that makes you feel more confident
  6. Be open to criticism
    • Not all feedback given to you is meant to attack or knock you down, to hold you back
    • Learn to take criticism as a means of growing so that you can gain more confidence
